A collaboration with the Bibliothèque nationale de France was an obvious choice, as part of the major exhibition dedicated to the Nabis, scheduled for last autumn at the Richelieu site. I chose to delve into the unique work of Félix Vallotton, who will be celebrated in 2025 on the centenary of his death.

I am delighted to present this exclusive collection inspired by La Paresse, a work that is both modern and graphically powerful, a brilliant testament to Vallotton's talent and his "Nabis" sensibility. Its clean lines, sharp contrasts, and almost architectural composition offered me an ideal playground for an embroidered and textured interpretation, bead by bead.
A meeting between the softness of the subject and the rigor of the line, between Vallotton's singularity and the incomparable expertise of our Indian artisans, with whom I have collaborated since the beginnings of Sophie Cano Paris.
